Earlier this year I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with friend and collaborator Jeanne Kelley, to shoot a story for this month’s issue of GARDEN DESIGN magazine. The story is on preparing food from the garden. I photographed Jeanne last year for my blog, and featured her incredible garden and the community garden that she and her husband Martin share with their neighbors. All the vegetables and greens used for the food we shot was grown in the community garden, and the blood oranges and kumquats were grown in their garden. The colors are so saturated and ripe with the feeling of spring.
