Abel Macias – Painter, Muralist, Sculpter.  Just before quarantine I went to Abel’s studio for a visit. We had a great time. I asked him about his inspirations as an artist

He loves pink because it reminds him of sunsets. David Hockney is one of his favorite painters. Abel lives in Echo Park with his dog and his boyfriend fellow artist Bradly Duncan and their dogs.

They are a creative powerhouse!

I found out about Abel’s work when he painted a beautiful mural on the Owl Bureau Book Store / also the West Coast outpost of Chandelier Creative.
